CMMC Consultant (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Advise clients on achieving CMMC compliance.
• Conduct cybersecurity and compliance gap analyses.
• Develop remediation plans and support implementation efforts.
• Provide implementation guidance across CMMC and related security frameworks.
• Explain technical concepts clearly and present recommendations to clients.

Requirements

• CMMC Registered Practitioner certification or higher, including CCP CMMC Certified Professional certification.
• Extensive knowledge of CMMC practices, NIST 800-171, and related frameworks such as ISO 27001.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, compliance consulting, or a related field.
• Proven experience with gap analyses, remediation planning, and implementation advisory.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for client-facing work.

Nice to have

• Additional certifications such as CMMC Professional/Assessor, CISSP, CISA, or Security+.
• Eligibility for U.S. government security clearances, depending on client requirements.
