Staff Software Engineer (Gaming)

What you will do

• Lead software development from system design through implementation, testing, operation, and reliable releases.
• Set technical direction for complex systems supporting high-scale games, balancing player experience, delivery speed, and long-term maintainability.
• Improve engineering standards across teams, including performance, reliability, scalability, security, and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with product, data, design, and other disciplines to resolve ambiguity, align decisions, and manage dependencies.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals, including system design, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Deep experience with Java, C#, or another object-oriented language, including asynchronous and parallel programming.
• Experience designing, shipping, and operating complex production systems with maintainable code.
• Ability to lead across teams through influence, communicate technical decisions clearly, and work constructively.
• Product engineering mindset, sound judgment under ambiguity, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with low-latency, high-volume distributed systems or large-scale data technologies.
• Experience with React or Angular.
