Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator (Microsoft 365 Security)

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer and secure Microsoft 365, Microsoft O365, Exchange Online, and email security services.
• Configure Conditional Access policies, multifactor authentication, identity controls, and user and device access.
• Manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint compliance, application deployment, updates, and Windows device administration.
• Monitor Microsoft Defender alerts, respond to security incidents, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support Microsoft Purview policies for data protection, retention, and compliance.
• Maintain documentation, perform system monitoring and patch management, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

Requirements

• Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments and Microsoft cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Conditional Access, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and email security.
• Experience managing Windows desktop environments and knowledge of identity and access management, endpoint security, and Microsoft security practices.
• Experience with Mimecast, Azure, or Windows Server administration.
• Experience supporting public-sector, government, or regulated environments and knowledge of NIST or other compliance frameworks.
• Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, endpoint, identity and access, security operations, or Azure are relevant.
