Product Manager (Developer Experience)

Location: 5 days onsite in Lafayette, Louisiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; or Birmingham, Alabama

Salary: $100,800–$127,500 annually

What you will do

• Improve developer experience across engineering and platform teams by identifying workflow friction and internal tooling opportunities.
• Lead pilots, empathy sessions, surveys, and focus groups to collect developer feedback.
• Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into prioritized backlog items, product recommendations, and roadmap priorities.
• Define and track Developer Experience KPIs and OKRs covering adoption, satisfaction, onboarding, usability, and productivity.
• Turn successful pilots into scalable processes and communicate launches, enhancements, and roadmap updates.
• Report product outcomes and insights to leadership while collaborating with Platform Engineering, Product, UX, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, developer experience, or a related delivery role.
• Experience leading pilots, focus groups, empathy sessions, and surveys.
• Ability to turn qualitative and quantitative input into clear, prioritized product decisions.
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs and OKRs related to adoption, satisfaction, and productivity.
• Background in product launches, rollout plans, and change communications.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, plus a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Developer Experience and Internal Developer Platform concepts.
• Exposure to Backstage, GitLab CI/CD, or developer portals.
• Experience with product discovery, experimentation, or user research.
