AWS AI/Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid; required in Lafayette, Louisiana, Knoxville, Tennessee, Birmingham, Alabama, or another stated location in the United States

Salary: $123,200–$156,700 annually

What you will do

• Develop AI-driven and analytical capabilities for enterprise data services in an AWS environment.
• Build and support GenAI solutions with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and Amazon Q.
• Design pipelines using RAG patterns, embeddings, vector databases, and AWS data services.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
• Use CloudWatch for logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with security, data, and application teams on proofs of concept and AI/cloud adoption.

Requirements

• Practical experience with AWS AI/GenAI tools such as Bedrock, SageMaker, or Amazon Q.
• Experience with embeddings, RAG patterns, vector databases, and AWS data services including Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS, and Redshift.
• Experience building data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
• Knowledge of CloudWatch, IAM roles and policies, least-privilege access, encryption, and secrets management.
• Python scripting, REST APIs, and serverless functions experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
