Principal AI Full Stack Engineer

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and integration of scalable full-stack AI solutions using modern front-end and back-end frameworks, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and microservices.
• Define software architecture patterns and reusable application approaches for trusted enterprise AI solutions.
• Integrate AI solutions with scientific instruments to support physical AI use cases.
• Build reusable development frameworks, accelerators, libraries, and reference architectures while mentoring engineers.
• Advance secure-by-design practices, software quality, observability, and DevSecOps across the development lifecycle.
• Lead technical design reviews, architectural governance, and engineering standards across multiple AI initiatives and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications and AI solutions in cloud-native environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Technical expertise in .NET Core/C#, Python, React or Angular, Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, OpenAI, vector databases, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, prompt engineering, SQL, and agent frameworks.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple operating companies and global stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI platforms, autonomous workflow systems, enterprise copilots, and AI assistants.
• Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Background in data engineering, analytics platforms, enterprise software modernization, or digital transformation programs.
