TL;DR
Product Manager (Quantum Sensing): Defining requirements and the roadmap for quantum sensing measurement systems used in semiconductor testing, with an accent on customer needs, requirements traceability, and cross-disciplinary product development. Focus on prioritizing solution-neutral requirements, establishing acceptance criteria and workflows, and translating customer evaluations into manufacturable products.

Location: Munich, Germany

Company

hirify.global is a deep-tech spin-off of TU Munich developing quantum-sensing systems that capture three-dimensional current maps inside multilayer chips for semiconductor debugging and yield analysis.

What you will do

  • Own product requirements for the QDm product line, translating customer, market, serviceability, manufacturability, modularity, configuration, and cost needs into clear, prioritized, solution-neutral requirements.
  • Establish the requirements engineering tooling and workflow, including traceability from customer needs through specifications and verification, as well as release change control.
  • Own and maintain the QDm.1 roadmap, prioritize the product scope, make trade-offs explicit, and align decisions with management.
  • Work with applications teams on evaluations with fabs, IDMs, OSATs, and failure analysis laboratories, converting customer feedback into requirements and qualification plans.
  • Define customer-focused, testable acceptance criteria and align product scope and timing with product development and engineering.
  • Support go-to-market activities including positioning, pricing, launch readiness, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Several years of product management experience with complex hardware or capital equipment, ideally in semiconductors, metrology, or deep tech.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear product requirements that engineering teams can build from.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with customers and engineers and translate between their needs.
  • Technical depth across mechanics, optics, electronics/RF, and software.
  • Structured prioritization skills with the ability to justify product trade-offs.
  • Working language: English. A technical or scientific background is typical, but a specific degree is not required.

Nice to have

  • Semiconductor industry experience, including fabs, IDMs, OSATs, inspection, metrology, or failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of SEMI standards and fab tool integration, such as S2/S8, E10, or SECS/GEM.
  • Experience selecting or implementing requirements management tools such as Jama, Polarion, or CodeBeamer.
  • Working knowledge of quantum sensing, optics, or precision instrumentation.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on quantum-sensing products intended for real semiconductor manufacturing and testing applications.
  • Collaborate with physicists, engineers, data scientists, and semiconductor manufacturers in an international team.
  • Receive 30 vacation days plus public holidays.
  • Access a company-sponsored Wellpass health and fitness membership in Germany.
  • Use an annual budget for courses, conferences, and professional development.
  • Participate in team events, off-sites, and an equity program.
