Senior Associate Builder (AI)

AI Fund is a venture studio founded by Dr. Andrew Ng that builds AI companies from the ground up with corporate partners, investors, and founders.

What you will do

• Identify, shape, and validate new company ideas with commercial partners, investors, and founders.
• Build rapid prototypes that answer key product and market questions, adding complexity only when evidence supports it.
• Put prototypes in front of users, conduct user research, and convert feedback into clear market signals.
• Support partners and founders during the 12-week Build through hands-on product design and go-to-market work.
• Present findings on what worked, what failed, and what should be decided next.
• Track frontier AI research, model cards, and technical writeups and apply relevant findings to new builds.

Requirements

• Technical ability, a strong understanding of frontier AI, and hands-on coding experience with AI.
• Experience as an engineer, product manager, product designer, or go-to-market professional.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI applications using LLM calls, RAG, agentic workflows, and evals.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with ownership of software quality.
• Ability to choose between scrappy prototype code and maintainable production code based on the situation.
• Strong analytical communication skills and a STEM or research degree from a top research university, or equivalent experience.
