Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Remote; the description also identifies this as a hybrid opportunity.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annual contract rate.

What you will do

• Support month-end close through journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare variance analyses and assist with budgeting, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset records, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other general ledger activities.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash activity.
• Support external audits, tax-related reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Retail or consumer products accounting experience.
