Staff Engineer, Hardware Development (Optical Transceivers)

What you will do

• Integrate high-speed transceiver test boards and associated mechanical and electronic hardware into mass manufacturing.
• Coordinate PCBA manufacturers during prototype development, PCB fabrication, assembly, board bring-up, testing, and debugging.
• Select and evaluate components, connectors, cables, fixtures, probes, and other test accessories.
• Collaborate with software and firmware engineers on transceiver test-board development.
• Create schematics, bills of materials, drawings, assembly documentation, calibration procedures, and test procedures.
• Support NPI, engineering builds, production-line deployment, equipment qualification, manufacturing transfer, and corrective actions for hardware-related yield issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics, optoelectronics, communications engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Experience with circuit design involving high-speed and low-speed analog and digital components, microprocessors, and power supplies.
• Experience bringing up and debugging PCBAs.
• Familiarity with communications principles and experience working with FMEA programs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and independent working skills.
• English reading and writing skills are required for technical documentation.
