Process Support Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Beijing, Hefei, Shanghai, Shenzhen, or Xi'an, China. The role involves customer-site work and 20%–40% domestic travel. Relocation is not eligible.

What you will do

• Support semiconductor processes at customer sites, including new equipment validation, process tuning, acceptance support, and production ramp-up.
• Analyze data, identify failure mechanisms and root causes, and develop improvement plans for complex process issues.
• Develop and optimize equipment process parameters for new products, applications, and customer requirements.
• Design and execute technical experiments, process experimental data, and prepare technical reports and customer materials.
• Collaborate with customer process, equipment, and integration teams as well as internal engineering, applications, and product teams.
• Provide technical guidance on equipment configuration, process menu operation, and process parameter maintenance.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree expected in 2027 in microelectronics, physics, chemistry, materials science, materials engineering, electronic science and technology, integrated circuits, semiconductor devices, optical engineering, or a related field.
• Foundation in semiconductor processes, device physics, materials, or data analysis, with an interest in semiconductor equipment and manufacturing.
• Good written and spoken English is required for reading technical materials and basic workplace communication.
• Strong learning, logical analysis, experimental design, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work at customer sites and travel domestically 20%–40%.
