Operational Excellence Placement (12.5 months)

Location: Brize Norton, United Kingdom; 12.5-month full-time placement starting 19 July 2027. Hybrid working options may be available depending on the role.

What you will do

• Support the Head of Operational Excellence and Business Management in delivering operational improvements for the RAF A400M in-service support contract.
• Coordinate communication between hirify.global and the UK Ministry of Defence to support service delivery alignment.
• Prepare briefing packs, reports, meeting documentation, and other materials for the Senior Leadership Team.
• Track project milestones, resource optimization, governance activities, and benefit realization.
• Support the rollout of the hirify.global Operational Excellence System through data collection and digital tool deployment.
• Facilitate Lean activities, document process improvements, and take ownership of one Continuous Improvement initiative.

Requirements

• Undergraduate status must be maintained for the full duration of the placement.
• Studying toward a degree in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent subject.
• Confident, proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare a CV and cover letter explaining motivation and suitability.
• Successful candidates will be subject to BPSS screening and may require UK SC-level security clearance or export-control approval.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft tools for presentations, data analysis, and chart creation.
• UK driving licence and access to a car.
