Supply Chain Space Systems Placement (12 months) (Space Systems)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; placement at the Portsmouth site with hybrid working options depending on the role.

What you will do

• Support commodity management, procurement strategy, market surveys, and supplier data maintenance.
• Manage market cost information and research relevant suppliers and industry conferences.
• Support tendering, supplier selection, and the development of short- and long-term commodity strategies.
• Support supply chain and quality management for complex, high-value RF equipment.
• Facilitate technical communication between internal experts and suppliers and support Vendor Review Board activities.
• Lead improvement projects focused on procurement ways of working.

Requirements

• Undergraduate status must be maintained for the full 12-month placement; the graduation date must be provided.
• Studying Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or an equivalent subject.
• Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and professional approach.
• Willingness to learn in a technical environment and engage professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Successful candidates will undergo a BPSS check and may require UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control clearance.
