Staff Nurse-Infectious Disease Huntley Full Time Days

Location: Huntley and McHenry clinics, Illinois. Full-time onsite role, Monday through Friday, day shift, 40 hours per week.

Salary: $34.50–$55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to acutely ill patients while maintaining patient safety and reducing medical errors.
• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, cultural, safety, and self-care needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications safely, apply critical thinking, assess pain, and implement appropriate pain-management techniques.
• Perform phone triage, communicate abnormal test results, and provide related care instructions.
• Explain procedures, therapies, and treatments to patients and families, providing education and documenting responses.
• Coordinate care, teaching, continuity of care, and discharge planning while participating in quality improvement, shared governance, and department projects.

Requirements

• Current Illinois registered professional nurse licensure required.
• Current nursing experience within the past five years or graduation from a nursing program within the past two years.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.
• Ability to work onsite at the Huntley and McHenry clinics Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• One year of experience in a pertinent clinical specialty.
• Proficiency in a second language.
