Principal DevEx Engineer

Location: London, with a hybrid model requiring 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Build self-service developer tools that reduce friction and give product teams greater autonomy.
• Architect and evolve the core cloud platform using AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Lead reliability initiatives, including business continuity planning and a sustainable on-call rotation.
• Support infrastructure for privacy-sensitive features such as Anonymous Mode.
• Implement monitoring across metrics, logs, and tracing to detect and mitigate issues before user impact.
• Help development teams adapt to AI automation across the software delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure, DevEx, SRE, or DevOps roles supporting high-traffic distributed environments.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes is essential.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Coding experience with Python, Scala, or Go; familiarity with React and front-end development across the stack.
• Experience collaborating across distributed product teams with a documentation-first approach.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, observable, and resilient infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience hardening infrastructure for highly compliant or security-sensitive environments.
• Experience scaling consumer technology platforms with millions of concurrent users.
• Professional accreditation such as AWS Professional Architect, CKAD, or KCSA.
