Senior Java Developer (Wholesale Banking)

Location: Bucharest - Dacia One, with the option to work from home or the office

What you will do

• Design and develop new features for the Inside Business Portal and improve existing functionality.
• Write unit tests, perform code reviews and refactoring, and address technical debt.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to align technical solutions.
• Build and deliver software in an agile environment focused on research, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on support when investigating production incidents and outages.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional IT development experience.
• Highly proficient in server-side Java and experienced with Spring Boot and Spring modules or another dependency injection framework.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, relational modelling, Git, Maven, Azure DevOps or similar tools, and Linux deployment environments.
• Knowledge of the full software development life cycle, continuous delivery, IT security, and building services from scratch.
• Advanced spoken and written English is required. A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in an IT-related field, is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging technologies and protocols.
• Experience optimizing software performance.
• Flexibility to work with additional technologies and languages, including Python.
