Trade Desk Associate (Financial Markets)

Location: Kansas City or Chicago, United States; four days in the office. Working hours: 10:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday.

Salary: $68,000–$88,000 per year, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Monitor exchange trading platforms, production and test environments, system checks, and audit logs.
• Escalate platform anomalies and support live communications about system and trading issues.
• Provide first-level customer and exchange support for order processing, market structure, clearing, onboarding, auctions, and block trades.
• Use SQL and UNIX shell tools to query databases, examine logs, gather data, and prepare basic reports.
• Maintain operational procedures and technical documentation in Confluence.
• Learn exchange platforms, market-data and order-entry APIs, and operational workflows through training and mentorship.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of professional experience; internships, coursework, or academic projects are acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, engineering, business, financial services, communications, or a related discipline.
• FINRA SIE and Series 57 licenses required, or the ability to obtain them within the first eight months.
• Basic familiarity with SQL or UNIX shell environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication, accuracy, attention to detail, and collaborative working skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
