Senior Software Engineer (Go) (Distributed AppSec Platform): Building and operating large-scale distributed backend systems and microservices for project, application, and risk management with an accent on Go, gRPC/REST APIs, message queues, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and React integration. Focus on owning features end-to-end, designing scalable architectures, expanding test automation, and using AI-assisted coding in production development.
Location: Hybrid in Ramat Gan, Israel, Tel Aviv District

What you will do
- Design and develop capabilities for Chiron's large-scale distributed backend systems, including project, application, and risk management domains.
- Own features end to end, covering architecture, coding, testing, CI/CD, and production observability.
- Build and operate Go-based distributed microservices with gRPC and REST APIs, message queues, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Develop React components and pages when backend features require front-end changes.
- Partner with QA on backend and front-end test automation using Go and Cypress.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship while collaborating with multi-geo R&D and non-R&D teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with Go and working proficiency in React.
- Experience with distributed architecture, microservices, gRPC/REST APIs, message queues, relational databases, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Comfort contributing to test automation and understanding testability, edge cases, CI/CD, TDD, and Agile development.
- Practical experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
- Excellent English communication skills are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Cypress for end-to-end front-end testing.
- Application or cybersecurity background.
- Experience with GitOps and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Helm, or ArgoCD.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or production observability tooling.
