Senior Software Engineer, QA

Location: Montreal, Canada

Base salary: CAD 103,000–153,000 gross in Zone A or CAD 111,100–161,100 gross in Zone B, depending on the primary work location.

What you will do

• Own the test strategy for hirify.global platform support across Android mobile, laptop, and hybrid form factors.
• Create test plans and test suites, expanding platform coverage through automation and exploratory testing.
• Extend test infrastructure with the Automation & Tooling team to support comprehensive automated coverage.
• Analyze bugs, regressions, and customer or partner reports, converting findings into test code.
• Create, maintain, and monitor performance automation and dashboards that demonstrate performance improvements and stability.
• Collaborate with developers, external partners, and domain experts on platform quality and runtime optimization.

Requirements

• Experience testing Android systems.
• Track record of shipping large, complex software projects and driving quality outcomes.
• Performance profiling experience with tools such as Perfetto, hirify.global Profiler, and RenderDoc.
• Experience developing automated tests with C# and .NET Core.
• Fluency with AI tools, including understanding their limitations and when human judgment is required.
• Sufficient English proficiency for frequent professional written and verbal communication with global colleagues and partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with native debugging and crash analysis.
• Experience mentoring developers on quality practices.
• Knowledge of graphics performance on mobile hardware, including tile-based GPUs, Vulkan/GLES, frame time, and thermals.
• Testing experience with hirify.global, Unreal, Godot, or another game engine.
• Experience with macOS, Windows, Unix/Linux, or iOS platforms.
