Functional Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid work in Gdańsk, with two days per week from the office

Salary: 500–900 PLN/day on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Support prioritization of business and technical initiatives based on product objectives and the roadmap.
• Plan team activities, monitor delivery progress, and resolve conflicts, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, story decomposition, and story maps.
• Perform functional analysis of securities processing, Corporate Actions, system behavior, integrations, and data flows.
• Coordinate releases, support acceptance testing, report delivery risks, and validate delivered functionality.

Requirements

• Experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar role.
• Experience managing and refining product backlogs, prioritizing work, and planning delivery in Agile environments.
• Ability to assess requirements, complexity, feasibility, and implementation effort.
• Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, stakeholder management, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong knowledge of UML and BPMN, plus experience with release planning, acceptance testing, and product validation.
• Good SQL knowledge and fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, capital markets, securities processing, clearing, settlement, or depository services.
• Knowledge of Corporate Actions, securities ownership registration, post-trade systems, or financial market infrastructure.
