Pensions Actuarial Consultant (UK Pensions)

Location: Nationwide, United Kingdom. Hybrid work is required, with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

What you will do

• Lead client meetings and presentations for trustee and corporate clients.
• Develop and deliver customised advice and solutions for defined benefit pension schemes.
• Provide informed advice on current topics and tailor recommendations to client circumstances.
• Apply technical actuarial expertise and act as the final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree client work strategy, direction, resourcing, fees, and budgets.
• Supervise, appraise, mentor, and provide feedback to junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Fully qualified actuary or nearing qualification.
• Strong communication, analytical, numerical, critical-thinking, and technical actuarial skills.
• Experience managing projects and distributing work to junior colleagues.
• Good understanding of how UK pension schemes operate.
• Significant actuarial consultancy experience advising trustees and/or corporates on defined benefit pensions.
• Availability to work from a local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.
