Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

Location: Fully onsite at the Denver (Centennial) office; candidates must be based in or able to commute to the office daily.

Base salary: $105,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DoD directives, ICD 705, and other federal security regulations.
• Manage SCIF certification, accreditation, physical security, and inspections.
• Oversee security clearances, reinvestigations, eligibility reviews, and training for cleared personnel.
• Investigate security violations, report incidents, and implement corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with DCSA, SSOs, and other government security representatives.
• Support classified proposals and partner with program managers and engineers on security measures.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance with SAP eligibility strongly preferred; active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work under ITAR regulations is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial security or a related field, including security program management for defense contractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, and DoD security regulations.
• Proven experience managing SCIF operations and classified contracts.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience across industrial, information, personnel, and physical security.
• Experience working with DCSA, SSOs, or other government oversight bodies.
• Familiarity with proposal preparation, pricing strategies, and defense acquisition processes.
• Aerospace or defense technology background.
