Forward Deployed Engineering Lead (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for the Forward Deployed Engineering team, mentor engineers, and remain hands-on with complex projects.
• Lead strategic enterprise deployments from technical discovery through production rollout.
• Architect, build, and debug integrations across APIs, webhooks, identity systems, email infrastructure, and enterprise security platforms.
• Turn customer-specific deployment solutions into reusable product, platform, automation, and internal tooling capabilities.
• Partner with customers, Go-to-Market, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to shape the product roadmap.
• Define which capabilities should remain part of FDE and which should graduate into the core product or platform.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Experience setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving complex projects while contributing hands-on.
• Experience working directly with complex enterprise customers and translating ambiguous needs into production systems.
• Strong experience with APIs, webhooks, identity and authentication systems, including OAuth, SAML, and SCIM.
• Strong technical judgment, communication, and ability to work across customer calls, system design, debugging, and product planning.
• Ability to operate independently through technical and organizational ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with security platforms or SIEM/SOAR ecosystems.
• Experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI-powered workflows.
