Shipping and Receiving Specialist (Metal Recycling)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio, USA; onsite work in an industrial outdoor environment

What you will do

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of non-ferrous materials.
• Verify received and shipped materials against bills of lading, packing slips, and other documentation.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure shipments comply with company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Communicate with scale operators, yard personnel, logistics providers, and management while supporting truck loading and unloading.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a scrap, recycling, or industrial setting.
• Previous forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Basic computer skills; inventory-system experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; knowledge of non-ferrous metals is an asset.
