Location: Onsite at CNBC headquarters, 900 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States

Salary: USD 95,000–125,000 per year

What you will do

• Identify data-driven opportunities with reporters, editors, product teams, and newsroom colleagues.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, engaging charts and visual explanations.
• Create real-time and dynamic visualizations for markets, policy, and economic data.
• Build interactive explainers using scroll-based storytelling, animation, and multimedia elements.
• Develop quick-turn graphics and reusable templates for breaking news, enterprise stories, and special projects.
• Establish chart design, editorial integrity, and workflow standards with digital managers and unit leadership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience creating data visualizations, information graphics, or visual journalism for a news publication.
• A strong portfolio of visual storytelling and interactive projects.
• Mastery of tools such as Datawrapper, Flourish, Tableau, Illustrator, Figma, or D3-based tools.
• Experience building interactive graphics or web experiences with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including Svelte and D3.
• Strong data analysis, news judgment, design sensibility, and storytelling instincts.
• Ability to work onsite at the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey headquarters.
