Collections Specialist I

Location: Everett, WA, United States. On-site work with regular in-person attendance is required.

What you will do

• Manage a consistent flow of consumer calls and guide customers through repayment options.
• Understand financial circumstances and negotiate viable repayment plans.
• Navigate multiple software platforms while providing efficient, real-time service.
• Document communications and account activity across digital channels.
• Maintain quality, compliance, and an empathetic approach to debt recovery.
• Meet and exceed KPIs to become eligible for promotion after six or more months of strong performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in customer service, contact centers, collections, or a related client-facing role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to de-escalate difficult situations, remain composed under pressure, and handle rejection professionally.
• Ability to learn account management systems, adapt to changing policies, and manage tasks accurately.
• Regular in-person attendance at the Everett office is required.

• Bilingual Spanish and English skills may qualify for additional compensation.
