Manufacturing Quality Foundations Systems Lead (Manufacturing)

hirify.global is a global outdoor technology company developing products for mobile living, including cooling, heating, power, electronics, mobility, and space optimization solutions. The Vancouver Marine facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.

What you will do

• Train hirify.global staff in Yamaha YMC Monozukuri Principle Activities and develop training materials for internal, external, and Marine Segment audiences.
• Lead weekly DPS Make Rule Book and Principle Activities sessions, monthly and semiannual evaluations, and Yamaha audits.
• Support internal and external defect resolution for legacy hydraulic products, including warranty analysis and corrective actions.
• Act as the quality interface for Mercury, YMC/YMUS, Volvo, and Honda customer accounts.
• Perform GP12 inspections, support ISO 9001 audits, and maintain daily operational quality control.
• Use quality data, warranty findings, and cost-of-quality KPIs to identify trends and prioritize improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in quality assurance, manufacturing quality systems, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Yamaha Monozukuri principles, Lean manufacturing, ISO 9001, structured audits, and shop-floor corrective action.
• Experience with warranty analysis, root-cause investigation, containment, corrective action, customer quality concerns, and inspections.
• Strong communication, training, documentation, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Yamaha YMUS Principle Activities certification is preferred; willingness and ability to obtain certification is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting product development, new product introduction, engineering changes, and manufacturability reviews.
• Experience serving as a liaison with regulatory or inspection bodies such as General Dynamics Land Systems.
