Software Development Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, Washington. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $164,652–$230,512.80 annually.

What you will do

• Design and deliver scheduling and planning technology used to prioritize factory operations for more than 5,000 users.
• Collaborate with senior and principal engineers to define and deliver the technical roadmap.
• Design technical architectures and present them to software engineers and managers.
• Implement backend and frontend solutions using Java, Python, JavaScript, and React.
• Integrate AWS services including DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, and SNS.
• Maintain operational excellence and deliver reliable, high-quality technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience writing software and deploying it to production.
• Proficiency in at least one typed language, such as Java or C, and one untyped language, such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with object-oriented design, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, distributed backend systems, and cloud environments such as AWS.
• Experience delivering software projects from inception to launch and understanding CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• U.S. work authorization is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, React, microservice architecture, CI/CD strategies, and relational or non-relational databases.
