Team Leader (Data & Analytics)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients. Regular international travel is required, with approximately 50% of time spent onsite with clients.

Salary: EUR 69,000–105,000 gross per year, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage consulting projects and typically work on one project at a time.
• Develop hypotheses, manage data collection, create models, conduct analyses, and perform primary and secondary research.
• Oversee analysts and provide technical and senior-level guidance with support from Partners and the internal network.
• Work with clients to deliver high-quality project outputs and present results, issues, and implications.
• Coach Oliver Wyman and client team members while maintaining team performance and work-life balance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
• At least five years of experience in specialized consulting firms, top-tier banking, or financial institutions, with experience in data analytics, credit risk, financial modelling, or machine learning.
• Experience with advanced analytics and data manipulation software such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, or SPSS.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, teamwork, presentation, and confidentiality skills.
• Excellent command of Italian and English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision, manage demanding workloads, meet deadlines, and travel regularly.
