Senior AI Tech Architect (AI)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; work is based in the Stockholm office and includes on-site client work and travel

What you will do

• Lead architecture and technical solutioning modules across applications, data, cloud, integration, and AI.
• Design and guide the implementation of AI and GenAI solutions, including LLM- and agent-based applications, retrieval and knowledge architectures, and model and tool integration.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and facilitate architecture decisions across scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, cost, and vendor choices.
• Lead prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical assessments to evaluate technologies and reduce implementation risks.
• Define engineering practices and platform capabilities for production AI, including APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps/LLMOps, observability, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate smaller technical teams, guide engineers and junior architects, and embed security and responsible AI into solution design.

Requirements

• Approximately four years of relevant experience in software development, data or AI engineering, cloud or platform engineering, solution architecture, or IT consulting.
• Degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, informatics, engineering, or another technology-intensive field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on software development or engineering experience with code, APIs, data, technical designs, and modern development environments.
• Strong understanding of software and cloud architecture, APIs, microservices, containerization, cloud-native development, data architectures, distributed systems, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, or GenAI solutions and an understanding of LLM-based application design; RAG, AI agents, model integration, MLOps/LLMOps, or AI evaluation experience is advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills, willingness to work on site and travel, and ability to work with international interdisciplinary teams.

• Experience with RAG, AI agents, model integration, MLOps/LLMOps, or AI evaluation.
• Experience guiding engineers or junior architects and maintaining quality across technical deliverables.
