Enterprise Integration Architect (Microservices)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of large-scale microservices ecosystems.
• Drive service decomposition, domain-driven design, and distributed data management.
• Define architecture for resilience, observability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead architecture initiatives spanning multiple teams and complex technology transformations.
• Operate and evolve high-traffic, latency-sensitive systems in production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including several years in architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in microservices design, domain-driven design, and distributed systems patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, service mesh technologies, cloud platforms, and managed services.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, or C#.
• Strong knowledge of API design, event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, communication, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience with platform engineering and internal developer platform construction.
• Familiarity with Istio, Linkerd, Envoy, or comparable service mesh technologies.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization at scale.
• Public speaking, open-source contributions, or published technical writing.
• Experience in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements.
