CNC Machinist

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning centers, including proper tooling.
• Make basic program adjustments and produce precision components according to prints and job instructions.
• Use measuring devices to verify dimensions, tolerances, burrs, and first- and last-article quality.
• Record jobs and quantities in the MRP system and route completed parts to the next work center.
• Perform general machine maintenance, maintain an orderly work area, and follow safety policies.
• Work toward routing times and report major discrepancies to the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma and two years of technical training.
• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience with mills, lathes, or both.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including material gauges and tolerances.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, dependable, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• May require lifting parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
