Pre-Sales Application Engineer (GCMS)

Location: Hybrid role based within a 60-mile radius of the Center of Excellence in Little Falls, Delaware, or Wood Dale, Illinois; requires on-site work and travel across the United States and Canada. No relocation offered.

Salary: $105,075–$175,125 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for GCMS systems, including single quadrupole, triple quadrupole, and Q-TOF systems.
• Analyze customer requirements, recommend solutions, and deliver customer-facing demonstrations.
• Support sales account planning from deal qualification through closure and own the technical closure of opportunities.
• Represent the customer voice in future product design and identify hirify.global's competitive advantages.
• Develop technical presentations for conferences, workshops, and customer events.
• Deliver customer training and solve non-routine system and application workflow challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or other university degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with a broad range of GCMS instrumentation and applications.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, project management, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work with internal and external customers, partners, and staff at all levels.
• Ability to work on-site and travel up to 60% across the United States and Canada, including overnight travel.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation when a company car is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with MassHunter and triple quadrupole techniques.
• Industry or research experience in environmental, food, forensic toxicology, or life science applications.
• Relevant research experience or a Ph.D.
