SVP Actuarial Advisor (Reinsurance)

Location: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in a local office or onsite with clients and 2 days remotely.

What you will do

• Act as a strategic actuarial partner to brokers and clients, proposing services and valuations that address current and future risk needs.
• Modify complex specialty models and develop value-added models for risk exposure, loss forecasting, and financial impact analysis.
• Lead a team developing specialty models and pricing strategies across a range of risk exposures.
• Expand actuarial services beyond reinsurance transactions and contribute to business development.
• Advise senior management and collaborate with brokers, reinsurers, and clients to support effective reinsurance transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum ACAS designation; FCAS preferred.
• 7–10 years of industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in pricing, valuation, and/or capital modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and programming languages including Alteryx, R, Python, VBA, or SQL.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, project leadership, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in reinsurance.
• Experience with Financial Lines, including Errors & Omissions and Directors & Officers insurance.
