Sr. Mgr., Actuarial Services - Medicare

Location: Fully remote within the Continental United States; ET/CT preferred but not required

Salary: $134,600–$249,000 per year

What you will do

• Support Medicare strategic initiatives, planning, pricing, and risk analysis.
• Build, own, and support actuarial tools and processes for internal users.
• Review and certify Medicare Advantage bids when eligible for American Academy of Actuaries membership.
• Analyze health plan experience, cost trends, legislative changes, and new business opportunities.
• Develop and negotiate capitation or premium rates and present pricing, risk, and opportunity analyses to business partners.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and develop 2–4 direct reports through technical training and actuarial mentorship.

Requirements

• 6+ years of actuarial experience.
• ASA or FSA designation required; MAAA membership is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare and Medicare Advantage actuarial experience, including cost trend analysis and bid development.
• Advanced Excel skills, including arrays, PivotTables, VBA, and queries, plus SQL and SAS.
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance actuarial analysis and decision-making.
