Salary: USD 155,500–315,000 annual base salary in California; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do
- Partner with SRE, architecture, and application teams to implement cloud security best practices and secure-by-design principles.
- Plan and improve security initiatives for networking cloud environments and assets.
- Monitor cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP, using metrics to drive governance and risk reduction.
- Support compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives.
- Represent security engineering in technical forums, mentor less-experienced team members, and collaborate with engineering, product, program, and security stakeholders.
- Drive the integration of new technologies into networking projects and activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Typically 7–10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
- Experience securing at least one major cloud platform, Kubernetes, and related cloud technologies.
- Experience designing AI-assisted security controls and building secure containerized, Kubernetes-managed cloud environments using Zero Trust principles.
- Working knowledge of Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS GuardDuty, AWS CloudTrail, PCI DSS, NIST SSDF, and CIS Benchmarks.
