Principal Product Cybersecurity Assurance Engineer (AI Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a cross-functional security engineering team supporting HMND-01 product development.
• Define product cybersecurity requirements, implementation standards, security protocols, tools, and engineering processes for embedded and AI-enabled robotic systems.
• Own Security Management Plans, Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment reports, risk assessments, remediation plans, and other audit-ready security artefacts.
• Drive cybersecurity assurance and certification across the product lifecycle, including independent Information Assurance reviews for cyber-physical systems.
• Establish Product Security Incident Response processes, coordinated vulnerability disclosure, patch deployment pipelines, and post-field incident analysis.
• Support customer, partner, regulatory, certification, bid, and proposal engagements involving product security.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with ISO 27001, ISO 27004, ISO 27005, and the NIST Risk Management Framework in regulated hardware or embedded product programmes.
• Experience owning security risk management for highly regulated, safety-critical products in automotive, commercial vehicle, or industrial automation environments.
• Working knowledge of IEC 62443 and ability to adapt ISO/SAE 21434 lifecycle methods to robotic or electromechanical products.
• Understanding of systems engineering, functional safety, and hardware/software co-development lifecycles.
• Ability to interpret penetration test reports and create structured, risk-prioritised remediation plans.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex security risks to engineers and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with TARA, STRIDE, or PASTA threat modelling for embedded or converged OT/IT systems.
• Knowledge of secure-by-design practices for AI/ML systems, including inference pipelines, model integrity, and cloud-to-edge communication.
• Experience securing CAN bus, Ethernet, or wireless interfaces in mobile, vehicular, or robotic systems.
• Experience establishing PSIRT or coordinated vulnerability disclosure programmes.
• Knowledge of UL 4600, UL 3300, ISO 13482, or engagement with certification and standards organisations.
