Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Hong Kong or Taipei; ability to travel based on client and business needs is required, with expected travel of 60–70%.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and maintain next-generation AI solutions for clients across industries.
• Apply software development practices throughout the full software development life cycle.
• Optimize algorithms and software designs for computational efficiency.
• Guide non-technical teams and consultants on robust software development practices.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, data scientists, AI engineers, vendors, and third-party partners on new product features and solutions.
• Develop thought leadership, scientific papers, and conference presentations on behalf of BCG X.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience or advanced personal project experience using modern AI tools.
• Experience in software development and global, remote agile squads.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Scala, with knowledge of relational, non-relational, and streaming data.
• Understanding of parallel computing and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Fluency in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese is required.

Nice to have

• Full-stack development experience with GraphQL, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Data experience with SQL, Spark, or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with data science and machine learning libraries such as Pandas and Scikit-learn.
