Production Engineering Specialist (PCBA/EMS)

Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China; willingness to travel domestically and internationally is required.

What you will do

• Monitor and improve DPPM, testing first-pass yield, complaint closure rates, and recurring EMS quality issues.
• Drive improvements based on supplier audits and lead quality improvement projects using systematic methodologies.
• Coordinate EMS and hirify.global teams on complex process and testing issues to support on-time delivery.
• Provide technical support for PCBA and box-build production, including test configurations, test sequences, limits, and ad-hoc issue resolution.
• Support ECN execution, new firmware verification, ICT fixture reviews, FCT and box-build testing, and PPAP reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in a PCBA provider or the drives industry.
• Solid knowledge of SMT, wave soldering, coating, ICT/FCT, PPAP, and IPC standards.
• Knowledge of variable-speed drives, servo drives, or similar industrial products; familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, or related production testing tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills using 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone methods; excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Fluent English and strong English writing skills are required.
