Private Equity Specialist

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

Base salary: $88,000–$176,000 per year, plus potential performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Support portfolio construction and management for advisory and delegated private equity client accounts.
• Plan and conduct due diligence, including manager meetings, onsite meetings, reference calls, and evaluation of fund teams, strategies, and performance.
• Analyze historical returns, summarize investment strengths and risks, and determine appropriate fund ratings.
• Prepare standard and ad hoc reports and presentations for investment committees, staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Provide research and analysis on non-marketable investments, including manager comparisons and current market information.
• Support global private equity research efforts and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3–5 years of relevant private equity investment experience, preferably with a pension fund, endowment, foundation, consulting firm, or fund of funds.
• Exceptional quantitative skills and the ability to evaluate fund and portfolio performance.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with a resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
• Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• MBA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in AI tools and technology.
