TL;DR
Associate Portfolio Manager - Personal Wealth (Portfolio Management/Investment Research): Managing and overseeing a separately managed account with an accent on portfolio optimization, performance analysis, U.S. sector research, and market outlook development. Focus on coordinating portfolio adjustments, producing attribution reports, leading investment discussions, and preparing client-facing investment commentary.

Location: Hybrid position based in proximity to the Chicago, IL or Greenwood Village, CO office; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Base salary: $125,400–$181,875 per year, with potential bonus participation.

What you will do

  • Manage and oversee a separately managed account, including portfolio optimizations, position monitoring, and model and client account adjustments.
  • Produce recurring strategy performance, attribution, and portfolio analysis reports.
  • Lead investment meetings and collaborate with the Chief Investment Strategist, co-Portfolio Manager, trading partners, and client-facing teams.
  • Conduct U.S. sector, industry, valuation, fundamental, investment, and market research.
  • Support quarterly and annual economic and market outlooks and co-author monthly external commentary.
  • Respond to client information requests and support communications about the investment strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance, economics, business, or a related field preferred.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in investment management, portfolio management, investment research, or a related field.
  • Experience with portfolio optimization and proficiency with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, written, verbal, interpersonal, collaboration, prioritization, and data visualization skills.
  • FINRA Series 63 and Series 65, Series 66, or a full CFA designation required; FINRA fingerprinting is also required.
  • U.S. work authorization for any employer is required. Visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

  • Current CFA designation or progress toward completing CFA Level I or Level II.
  • Experience with U.S. equity research, investment performance measurement and attribution, and client-facing investment commentary or market outlooks.
  • Persistence, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
