Software UI Engineer II - React & Enterprise Web Platforms

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Develop responsive, accessible, and reusable user-interface components with React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Chakra UI.
• Translate approved designs and user stories into clean, maintainable enterprise web interfaces.
• Test frontend changes across supported browsers and screen sizes and resolve defects.
• Integrate REST APIs and collaborate with backend engineers, designers, quality engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in code reviews, document work, and improve frontend usability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in software development.
• Basic proficiency in React, including functional components, props, state, hooks, and component lifecycle concepts.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript ES6, TypeScript fundamentals, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility.
• Familiarity with npm, Webpack or Vite, browser developer tools, Git, CI/CD concepts, and frontend testing tools.
• Mastery of English and the local language is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Node, GraphQL, REST APIs, AWS, and containerized frontend deployments.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Contributions to open-source projects or published design system libraries.
