Senior AI Scientist (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California; New York, New York; Oakland, California; or San Diego, California

Salary: $165,500–$243,500 annual base pay, depending on location.

What you will do

• Build and deploy machine learning models using analytical algorithms and deep learning.
• Analyze large datasets and apply data mining, NLP, supervised learning, and unsupervised learning to improve relevance and personalization.
• Partner with product managers, software engineers, and designers to design experiments and minimum viable products.
• Discover, import, clean, and transform data through self-directed ETL work and feature engineering.
• Run A/B tests, perform statistical analysis, and communicate optimization results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging technology and design shifts for potential customer benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of industry experience in AI science and advanced analytical tools.
• Programming experience with R or Python and scikit-learn.
• Proficiency in SQL, Hive, or SparkSQL and comfort working in Linux.
• Experience with statistical modeling and data mining techniques, including clustering, classification, regression, neural networks, anomaly detection, recommender systems, and text mining.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
