Senior Staff Data Scientist (AI)

Salary: $142,530–$178,110 per year

What you will do

• Define the technical roadmap for data science and machine learning initiatives across the organization.
• Architect and build end-to-end ML systems, from data strategy and feature engineering through deployment and monitoring.
• Develop supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision solutions for customer behavior, vehicle listings, and other business-critical domains.
• Build AI agentic applications and LLM-powered workflows using external tools and APIs.
• Partner with data engineering, ML platform, and software engineering teams to productionize reliable, scalable models.
• Set technical direction, communicate strategies to executive stakeholders, and mentor senior data scientists.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and deploying production machine learning systems.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills with experience in scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, pandas, and NumPy.
• Hands-on experience with NLP, computer vision, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience building AI agentic applications with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks and integrating LLMs with tools and APIs.
• Experience architecting ML solutions on large datasets with Spark or Dask and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to influence technical roadmaps, communicate with executive stakeholders, and mentor senior data scientists.

Nice to have

• Experience with Model Context Protocol, multi-agent systems, tool-use agents, RAG pipelines, and autonomous workflows.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, generative AI, MLOps, and CI/CD for machine learning.
• Experience with real-time inference, low-latency model serving, or open-source contributions.
