Mechanical HVAC Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Onsite in Groningen, Netherlands, with work at the client site in Eemshaven

What you will do

• Lead projects from a mechanical and building-services engineering perspective within multidisciplinary teams.
• Analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective, cost-conscious solutions.
• Review mechanical engineering work for accuracy and quality, including peer reviews.
• Support fee and capital budget proposals and supervise junior engineering staff when required.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, project personnel, and project management teams.
• Attend site visits to monitor, review, and sign off mechanical installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical HVAC Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design.
• Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership.
• Advanced design experience with mechanical and building-services systems, including chilled water, hot water, steam and condensate, HVAC air-handling units, process exhaust, compressed air, and process or laboratory gas systems.
• Experience with 2D CAD and preferably 3D Revit or Cadworks, plus knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of specifications and contract documents.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial or mission-critical facilities.
• Good knowledge of Dutch.
