Project Controls Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid role based in Niel, Belgium, with travel to offices near Waterloo and Bornem and project sites across the Benelux region

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain baseline project schedules in Microsoft Project across design, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
• Coordinate planning sessions, progress measurement, look-ahead schedules, staffing plans, and stakeholder updates.
• Monitor critical paths, identify scheduling risks, and issue regular variance and project reports.
• Develop baseline project budgets with project managers and track actual costs against approved budgets.
• Coordinate actual hours, forecasts, purchase orders, subcontract values, commitments, and change orders.
• Work with project leads, capital project managers, and Finance to maintain accurate cost and schedule controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience and 8–12 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience with costing and scheduling of capital projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French, plus English, is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Experience in manufacturing, mission-critical centres, pharma, or biopharma.
