Senior AI Scientist

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $180,000–$243,500 per year, plus eligibility for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and deploy machine learning models using analytical algorithms and deep learning.
• Analyze large datasets and apply data mining, NLP, and supervised and unsupervised machine learning to improve relevance and personalization.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and designers to design experiments and minimum viable products.
• Discover, access, import, clean, and transform data through self-directed ETL work.
• Create and refine features, run A/B tests, and use statistical analysis to measure optimization impact.
• Explore emerging technologies and connect them to customer benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of industry experience in AI science and advanced analytical tools.
• Programming experience with Python or R and scikit-learn.
• Proficiency with SQL, Hive, or SparkSQL and comfort working in a Linux environment.
• Experience with data mining and statistical modeling techniques including clustering, classification, regression, neural networks, anomaly detection, recommender systems, and text mining.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
