Senior Application Developer SME (TypeScript)

Location: Washington, D.C.; applicants must currently reside in the United States; onsite and hybrid SCIF support required.

Salary: USD $140,770–$211,156 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance legacy and existing systems, including new features, improvements, bug fixes, and successor-system integration with legacy platforms.
• Serve as the Foundational Services SME supporting applications across the EPD.
• Provide training and technical support to two mid-level developers.
• Independently manage multiple complex assignments, develop implementation methods, and present solutions with minimal oversight.
• Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate results, and recommend changes affecting project growth and success.
• Review server logs and consoles onsite to triage and debug issues.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Master’s degree and 8+ years of application or software development experience, including some experience within the last two years; or a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of application or software development experience as a substitute for the Master’s degree.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with classification rollup and need-to-know handling programmatically.
• Experience with cross-domain transfer processes from high to low.
• Experience reviewing server logs and consoles to triage and debug onsite.
• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, Node, NestJS, Express servers, Jest, MongoDB, GitLab CI pipelines, Docker, and OpenShift.

• JSON, Java, JavaScript, SharePoint, XML, VBAs, Oracle, MongoDB, Solr, SQL, OpenAI, or other AI technologies.
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Ability to use automated testing tools for testing and maintenance.
