Intern-Animal Operations

Location: SIMZ Pudong, Shanghai, China; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Maintain laboratory records and review data according to SOP and GLP requirements.
• Support animal housing, inventory, equipment, supplies, and room compliance with GLP and AAALAC standards.
• Collect and record clinical observations, body weight, food consumption, environmental, and other study data.
• Interpret protocols and support research conducted in accordance with protocols, SOPs, and government regulations.
• Learn and perform basic dosing, restraint, and euthanasia procedures for laboratory animals.
• Identify deviations and animal health issues, report findings, and participate in corrective actions.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Veterinary Medicine or Biomedical Sciences associate degree program.
• At least three months of experience using computer and office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform frequent hand manipulation and grasping.
• Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate observations.
• Ability to work with laboratory animals in a laboratory environment.
• Final-year students graduating in July 2027 are preferred; students at all academic levels in relevant fields may apply.

Nice to have

• Medical Certified Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician qualification.
• Veterinarian license.
• CET-4 qualification.
• Strong organization, multitasking, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
