What you will do

• Set and evolve the architecture of the enterprise data platform across ingestion, transformation, storage, semantic modeling, and data delivery on Azure.
• Design and build complex production data pipelines, frameworks, reusable components, semantic models, and data products.
• Develop infrastructure supporting dashboards, self-service analytics, forecasting, machine learning, model training, and model serving.
• Define and drive standards for code quality, performance, scalability, observability, security, governance, and cloud-native delivery.
• Diagnose difficult performance, reliability, and scalability issues across Power BI, Synapse, Fabric, and other data workloads.
• Mentor data and analytics engineers and advise engineering and business leadership on architecture, tradeoffs, and platform priorities.

Requirements

• Extensive senior or principal-level experience designing and building production-scale data platforms.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, semantic modeling, and Azure data services.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong software engineering fundamentals including testing, version control, CI/CD, and modular design.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering architecture, dimensional modeling, scalable fault-tolerant pipelines, and modern analytics platforms.
• Ability to solve complex business problems, communicate technical tradeoffs, and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of experience building enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with BI modernization, infrastructure-as-code, secure cloud environments, and platform-wide reference architectures.
• Experience building pipelines for RAG, LLM, or other modern AI workloads.
